5 Free Resources for Entrepreneurs
When I first started my business, I really had no idea where to start and what tools and resources I could use to help make things easier for me. Owning your own business can be a challenge. It can also become fairly expensive fairly quickly.
Here are 5 free resources for entrepreneurs:
Let’s be honest, who really has the time to sit there making posts on social media every day?! I know I don’t. Why sit back and take the time to make all these posts every single day? This is where Later.com will become your best friend! Later.com is amazing in helping you plan your social media content. I use Later to plan my Instagram and Facebook content for each week, then it posts automatically! How easy is that?! Simply make your social media posts wherever you choose (whether you use Photoshop, Canva, or your own photos), save them to your computer or device, and upload them into Later. From there, you can drag them onto the date and time you would like it to post on, create your caption, and boom! The post will automatically post on the date and time you selected. Each month you get 30 free posts, but you can get an extra 10 for free from me here!
Mailchimp is one of the most popular email platforms available on the internet. This is a great platform for sending out monthly newsletters, sales, promotions, contests, your latest products/services, etc.! It’s completely FREE for up to 2,000 contacts per month. This is a great option for businesses that are just starting out. It’s easy to use, customizable, and has a clean interface! One of the best parts about Mailchimp is its drag and drop editor. This makes it extremely easy for beginners to design their email campaigns. Ps, you can check out my Mailchimp template here! All you need to do is swap out the colours, text, and photos for your own!
Slack, oh my love for slack. Slack allows you to have team communication and allows for you to create different channels based on projects and users. You can have group chat channels, or direct messages with specific team members. You can also send pictures, links, and files back and forth. Another great feature; you can do video and phone calls (plus screen sharing) directly on Slack – cut out the need for Zoom! Best of all, Slack is free! You can check out the demo here.
Canva is one of my favourite resources for entrepreneurs. It is amazing for online graphics and content! It’s perfect for creating social media posts, presentations, business cards, and so much more! Simply choose a template and change the text, colours, and images. Or, you can be daring and start from scratch! There are tons of fonts, elements, frames, and stock images to choose from! You can use the free version, or get THOUSANDS of more options with Canva Pro for only $15/month!
For all my Microsoft Office fans out there, this one may not be for you. But, hear me out! Google Drive is such a great platform to use for your business because you can keep everything in one place. Once you set up your email address through Gmail, you can utilize their other features such as Docs, Sheets, Forms, Google Meet, Google Calendar, Google My Business, and so much more!
